Even though Gretchen and I decided not to get each other anything for our tenth wedding anniversary back in October, she surprised me with plane tickets to Steamboat Springs Colorado. I surprised her with a new snowboard...Perfect. One of my best friends, Fred, has lived in Steamboat for the past 12 years and offered us the condo he rents out to skiers and snowboarders for the long 4 day weekend. The trip started out a bit rough as Gretchen does not enjoy flying and the airlines lost every one of our bags - Gretchen felt much better once we were on solid ground and our bags were eventually delivered to us late the first evening. The snowboarding was amazing and the trip was a blast. Here is a video I made using a Flip-like camera called the Vado - there are also a bunch of photos we took below:
